Regulation & certification guidance
Gap checks, evidence mapping, and submission-ready documentation aligned to Japans latest eco-building requirements.
- Compliance checklist and risk log
- Review notes for design team
We help urban developers translate Japan’s latest eco-building requirements into buildable architectural plans, coordinated solar installer scopes, and maintenance packages that keep PV output and green roof performance on track.
Solar-ready planning with rooftop constraints, inverter locations, conduit routes, and structural coordination.
Green roof assemblies aligned to waterproofing, drainage, load planning, and access for long-term care.
Role clarity across architect, GC, and specialty vendors so handoffs stay clean from schematic to commissioning.
From early massing to handover, we coordinate the technical edges that typically slow projects down: roof zoning, penetrations, water management, access, and service routes.
Services
We keep projects buildable by starting with documentation. You get clear drawings, compliance-ready evidence packs, and a practical vendor handoff so your team can move from concept to site without rework.
Gap checks, evidence mapping, and submission-ready documentation aligned to Japans latest eco-building requirements.
Layouts and details that anticipate PV routing, equipment space, structural constraints, and safe roof access.
Build-up selection, drainage planning, and maintenance-conscious details for long-term performance.
Introductions to qualified installers and a handover plan that keeps energy output and roof health measurable.
Every engagement includes a handoff pack your internal team, GC, and specialist vendors can use immediately.
Evidence pack
Assumptions, calculations, and compliance notes.
Coordination set
Interfaces for structure, MEP, and roof systems.
Handover checklist
Commissioning and maintenance readiness.
Procurement-ready artifacts
We produce tangible documents and coordination outputs you can circulate across design, construction, and vendor stakeholders. Final content varies by project scope, schedule, and the applicable authority or certification program.
Note: We support compliance efforts, but approvals are determined by the relevant reviewers and authorities.
If you select a maintenance package, we provide a handover bundle to help building operations keep performance on track.
Engagement Process
We coordinate architecture, structural and MEP inputs, and vendor execution so your team can keep schedule certainty while meeting Japan’s evolving eco-building requirements.
We confirm site basics, target unit mix, rooftop geometry, structural limits, and the certification route you want to pursue. Outcome: a scoped workplan and responsibility map.
We produce roof zoning for PV, equipment placement guidelines, conduit pathways, and green roof build-up direction that fits your massing. Outcome: annotated plans your architect can adopt quickly.
We run coordination sessions with your architect and engineers to lock loads, waterproofing interfaces, drainage, and maintenance access. Outcome: a submission-ready documentation set and review comments log.
We introduce vetted solar and green-roof vendors, clarify scope boundaries, and support RFI-style questions. Outcome: a clean handoff to procurement and construction with fewer change orders.
We define inspection cadence, vegetation care, and PV performance monitoring expectations, aligned to your building operations model. Outcome: a practical O&M plan and vendor service schedule.
Anonymized examples
Snapshots show typical constraints, documentation, and coordination steps. Figures are modeled ranges where noted, not guarantees, and avoid brand endorsements.
All content is anonymized, aggregated, and edited for clarity. Results depend on roof geometry, shading, local approvals, and contractor execution.

We prepare the design package, calculation inputs, and documentation trail needed for your chosen certification route and for Japan’s latest eco-building regulations. Final certification and approvals are issued by the relevant accredited bodies and authorities. We stay involved through submissions to reduce rework and clarify reviewer questions.
We act as a design and compliance partner. We coordinate with your architect and structural engineer, translate certification requirements into buildable specs, and align rooftop PV, green roof assembly, and maintenance access with the GC’s constraints. We do not act as the general contractor or install PV ourselves, unless your contract explicitly assigns us that role.
Most projects start with a 1–2 week feasibility and requirements pass, then 4–8 weeks of coordinated design updates depending on the current stage and number of stakeholder reviews. If you need vendor pricing and roof load coordination, add time for site constraints, structural confirmations, and procurement lead times.
Yes. We can introduce qualified vendors for rooftop PV, waterproofing layers, drainage, and planting systems, and help you evaluate bids against performance and maintenance realities. Vendor selection and contracting remain your decision. We do not accept undisclosed referral fees.
Packages typically cover inspection schedules, performance reporting, roof access and safety planning, vegetation/irrigation coordination, and escalation paths for waterproofing issues. We can manage coordination with the installer and building manager, but physical service work is performed by qualified maintenance providers under their own contracts and warranties.
At minimum: current drawings (site, roof, elevations, sections), unit mix and target performance goals, structural assumptions for roof loads, and your intended procurement approach. If you already have a PV or roofing vendor shortlisted, we’ll align specs early to avoid late-stage clashes.
Most engagements are scoped as a fixed-fee design and documentation package, with optional add-ons for vendor bid alignment and post-handover maintenance coordination. After an initial call, we provide a written scope that defines deliverables, assumptions, and what is out of scope.
